 [FIXED] Dark elf Associated Bugs

PostSubject: [FIXED] Dark elf Associated Bugs   Sat Aug 23, 2014 6:29 pm

Aranea's call--> sometimes casts call of kargoth in the corner.
Dark elf racial synergy--> some queen spiders are still not moving/attacking
Casts Morph Resources when should be Morph Tower and vice-versa (in previous version I didn't have it... but the Forum says you correct it in 0.83...)
Campaign (Dragon's Maze)--> if you start by buying items you get stuck and can’t continue.  
Darkstorm spell--> is it real to be with no rain? Maybe it should be renamed(Like the illusion spell Darkness/Light?) or activate thunders (don't know if that makes a difference to unit's status).
Hero Assassination Skill--> High level resistant units (huge dragons for example) are not dying (it should activate death blow/critical hit instead).

this was indeed an old hero from 0,82. that must be the answer.

After several tests, it seems that when the hero successfully assassinates a huge dragon, he/she deals about 1000 damage. I'd say that's better than death blows. Death blows and critical hits are handled separately, but priority is given to assassinations. Here's a sketchy example:

Critical chance 15%
Deathblow chance 5%
Assassination chance 20%

if we roll say a 19, we get an assassination strike. if we roll a 30, we get a normal attack. if we get a 3, we get a deathblow BUT overwritten by an assassination strike.

1000 points of damage is more than a whole building's hit points. Imagine that your hero can demolish that with just one strike. A huge dragon has 10.000 hit points (0.8.3). Your hero/ a unit just needs to assassinate it 10 times and the mighty ancient creature is dead by brute force (which is rarely the intention in the campaign, though it does not ignore the option)!

With that amount of facts I have no retoric. In my mind it was better an assassination with a single stirke anyway, but that will be unfair.

just for the record, A new 0.8.3 Shaman Orc hero, proficiency combat has chaos spells mixed up as I said before. I can post some pics here to show this if you wish.
