When a pit is under construction (before the building is complete) you can create one salamander.

I am unable to reproduce this bug. Please give more details.

Salamanders have really low production time, but the build percentage only starts when the pit is complete (like all production). It may seem that as soon as the building is complete a salamander is instantly ready, but in fact it was just the queued unit passing the 3 (?) second production time.

No short cut keys. The hero is building one and quasits the other two. It's very repeatable.

Aha. It only works when Summoning I is researched. Fixed in 0.8.4. Topic closed.
