“Give some armies” (loop) stops working after you save and then load the game. Other events (loop) stop at some point too (change to day/night, g.e.).

This might have to do with the fact that I have triggered some defeat events (character dies, hero dies, etc.) and I was fast enought to load the game before defeat buld-up ends.

Time looping events always screw up when ever a saved game is loaded. It's a real shame and one of the reasons why I don't use events and have scripted maps these days. Sad

There are other issues relating to events (some are actually more to do with the game's other mechanics) but I wont list them now because when I start posting bugs I end up spamming and posting 70 odd! Take my bug report for DoW2's The Last Stand as an example: http://community.dawnofwar.com/discussion/60/bugs-in-the-last-stand-retribution

I also did this all once before back over on the Battlefield forums, and even then, I discovered more bugs after that site went down!

Occasionally when I'm bored I actually start documenting these down in a txt file. I've just looked and not only do I have one for WBC3 but I got up to 231 bugs recorded on it and didn't even touch the Quest bugs!!!

Timed looping events loosing sense of time after reloading a game was m number 62: Smile

Well Kharn, you should at least post SOME of them, the important/ annoying ones and easy to fix preferably bounce

Yeah - I did question as to why I never posted them here before during my last post. I guess it was because I knew it was incomplete. Later on I'll add in the quest related bugs since I know I haven't touched those yet (I left myself a little note!) and take a quick read for the whole lot and see which areas I didn't cover. Although i strongly believe I didn't touch the campaign, either.

After going through them all (and adding in more), it turns out I made a mistake on the numbering. When I got to 120, I accidentally put 220! lol The true real number of bugs is actually 171.

Anyway, I'll actually post these over on the wiki so other modders can see the state the vanilla game is in and see what needs to be fixed. That and the fact that I have to disable javascript when visiting this forum as I usually get smacked by malware from the advertisements, and without java, the message box to type in shows literally only 2 lines at a time - it really does make posting awkward.

Once I've got them up there, I'll post a link to them from a new thread. You can then use that thread to post in the ones that affect your mod and cross them off as and when they get fixed.

Referring to the looped events not working after loading a saved game, this has now been fixed in version 0.8.5. Topic closed.
